This explains what personal information The UNIIT collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
The UNIIT, Unit 1a Olive Court, Sherwood Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, NG19 9NE. If you have any questions about your information, email info@theuniit.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what you type into our forms:
- New member consent form: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, your answers about your health, whether you're happy to appear in photos on our social media, and your initials.
- Class bookings, memberships and packs (through our booking system, Bookwhen): your name, email and booking details. Card payments are handled securely by Stripe and we never see your full card number.
We use it to reply to you, take your bookings and membership payments, and keep you safe in your sessions.
Health information
Some of our forms ask about hospital stays, medical conditions, illnesses and injuries. This is health information, which the law treats as extra sensitive. We only collect it so we can look after you safely, we only use it for that, and we only collect it when you choose to give it to us. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Our legal reasons
We use your information because you've asked us to do something for you (to take your booking, membership or enquiry), because you've given your consent (any health information you share, and whether you're happy to appear in photos), or because we have to by law (for example, keeping records for tax).
Who else sees it
We never sell your information. A few trusted companies handle it for us, only to run our business: Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Bookwhen (class bookings, memberships and waiting lists), Stripe (card payments), Google Workspace (our email). They're only allowed to use it to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted after 12 months. Order and booking records are kept as long as the law requires for our accounts (usually six years). Health information is deleted when it's no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Just email info@theuniit.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
